President
Ian Mariano Von Dyl (he/him/his)
Ian is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in International Business. Driven to be an advocate for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Ian works at The Pride Center at SDSU. Ian plans on attending law school to support and provide legal services to marginalized and underrepresented communities. Ian looks forward to fostering community and building SDSU Mock Trial into a rigorous co-curricular program. Outside of SDSU Mock Trial Ian loves to play and watch soccer!

Vice President
Adam Nechaev (he/him/his)
Adam is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Political Science and minoring in Spanish. Striving to attend the University of California San Francisco Law, Adam is involved in SDSU Mock Trial to prepare himself for a career in law while developing professional interpersonal skills. Adam looks forward to coordinating, developing, and running scrimmages and tournaments that will be held on the SDSU campus. In addition to preparing for law school, Adam fluently speaks Spanish and enjoys backpacking.

Treasurer
James Peterson (he/him/his)
James is a third-year undergraduate student double majoring in Political Science and Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Along with being a member of SDSU Mock Trial, James is involved in the Pre-Law program at SDSU as a member of the Pre-Law Society and works to support and uplift the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as a volunteer at the San Diego LGBT Center. After graduation, James hopes to attend law school and work in public interest with a focus on serving marginalized and underrepresented groups. As Treasurer, James hopes to increase funding to allow the team to gain valuable experience in tournaments and promote team bonding through social events. One fun fact about James is that he competed in taekwondo throughout high school!

Secretary
Josh Radzinski (he/him/his)
Josh is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Political Science and minoring in Philosophy and Theatre Arts. Aspiring to work as a trial attorney, Josh is involved in SDSU Mock Trial to prepare himself for law school by learning the basics of courtroom procedure while also developing professional and critical thinking skills. As Secretary, Josh plans to ensure members have the proper space and materials required to be successful and will prioritize team bonding through social mixers. Outside of SDSU Mock Trial, Josh is the Director of SDSU's Camp Kesem, which facilitates all-expense-paid summer camps for children impacted by a parent's cancer diagnosis.

Communications Chair
Hannah Goldberg (she/her/hers)
Hannah is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. Hannah joined SDSU Mock Trial because she wanted to be involved with a community of like-minded, goal-oriented peers with similar career interests. Hannah also wanted the most hands-on trial experience she could get as an undergraduate student. Moving forward Hannah hopes to practice criminal litigation, specifically prosecution. Within her role, Hannah is looking forward to making connections with new members and watching the SDSU Mock Trial program grow. One fun fact about Hannah is that she has a twin!

Communications Chair
Logan Parker (she/her/hers)
Logan a third-year undergraduate student majoring in English with a minor in Political Science. Logan got involved with SDSU Mock Trial through the recommendation of a friend at first, but once learning more about the program, she realized it was a great career opportunity. Logan sees SDSU Mock Trial as a way to build public speaking skills and gain confidence in the courtroom. She plans to be a litigator and sees the skills she is developing through SDSU Mock Trial as beneficial. Logan has created social media materials for companies and programs before and looks forward to the creative freedom of running the SDSU Mock Trial social media account. One fun fact about Logan is that she was a baby model!

Coach
Luke Poteat (he/him/his)
Luke is a third-year law student at California Western School of Law. During his time as an undergraduate mocker, Luke won individual and team awards while competing across the West, Midwest, and Northeast. He was a double-sided witness at the AMTA National Tournament in 2019. Luke graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University with a B.S. in Applied Business Analytics. He also holds a M.S. in Natural Resources Management from the University of Idaho. Upon graduation from law school, Luke plans to work in natural resources and conservation law with a focus on protection of natural resources rights for underserved rural and Indigenous communities. This will be Luke's third year coaching SDSU Mock Trial, and he looks forward to facilitating the continued growth and development of the program and its competitive prowess in California and beyond.

Coach
Lauryn Flores (she/her/hers)
Lauryn is a second-year law student at California Western School of Law. Lauryn attended Fresno State where she competed on the undergraduate mock trial team for four years, making an appearance at the AMTA National Tournament in 2017. Lauryn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Communication and Legal Rhetoric with Distinction from Fresno State. Her research focused primarily on courtroom persuasion and juror decision making. Lauryn is co-host of A Place in the Courtroom Podcast, and after graduation plans to practice plaintiffs catastrophic personal injury law. This will be Lauryn’s second season coaching SDSU Mock Trial and she is so excited to continue helping the team develop as advocates and represent SDSU in the greater mock trial community.
